North Northamptonshire Statement of Community Involvement November 2013

The North Northamptonshire planning authorities have prepared a Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) to help set out how interested parties can get involved and will be consulted in the preparation of plans and planning applications. This Statement replaces the previous SCI that was adopted in 2006.

The North Northamptonshire Joint Planning Committee adopted the Statement of Community Involvement in relation to jointly prepared documents on the 14th November 2013. The SCI as adopted by the partner Local Planning Authorities in relation to their responsibilities can be viewed on their respective web sites.

Corby Borough Council adopted the SCI in January 2014 with a small change at paragraph 5.12.

East Northamptonshire Council adopted the SCI on 16th December 2014 with the following amendments:

i) Paragraph 4.9, Table 1:

Include the Fire and Rescue Service in the list of General Consultation Bodies.

ii) Paragraph 5.12

a) Delete “locally significant” and replace with “locally significant and controversial”.

b) Delete “Developers/applicants are encouraged” and replace with “Developers/applicants will need to”

Borough Council of Wellingborough adopted the SCI on 14th January 2014.

Kettering Borough Council adopted the SCI on 26th February 2014.
